Call for Workshops – SweCog2026

Do you have an idea for an engaging, interactive, and thought-provoking workshop on Monday October 26th? We invite proposals for workshops to be held as part of SweCog2026, the annual conference of the Swedish Cognitive Science Society which will be held at Uppsala University.

This year, we have room for approximately 3–4 workshops in Uppsala. Workshops provide an excellent opportunity to explore emerging topics, discuss methods, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and create new research networks within cognitive science.

Workshop proposal should include:

1. Workshop title
A concise and informative title describing the workshop.

2. Organisers
Please provide the names, affiliations, and short biographies of all workshop organisers.

3. Workshop theme and description
A description of the workshop topic (approximately 300–500 words), including:

• the background and motivation for the workshop,
• its relevance to cognitive science,
• the planned format and activities (e.g., discussions, demonstrations, hands-on activities, collaborative exercises),
• expected outcomes (e.g., networking, future collaborations, publications, shared resources).

4. Time frame
Please indicate the preferred duration of the workshop (e.g., 60, 90, or 120 minutes or similar).

5. Number of participants
Please state the expected or maximum number of participants that can be accommodated.

6. Keywords
Please provide 3–5 keywords describing the workshop.

Please send your workshop proposal to jessica.lindblom@it.uu.se no later than August 30, 2026. Early submissions are highly appreciated, and proposals submitted sooner may facilitate the planning of the workshop programme.

We welcome workshop proposals from all areas of cognitive science and particularly encourage interdisciplinary and interactive formats that bring together participants from different research traditions.
