Skövde
School of Humanities & Informatics
There are two overlapping research groups that actively participate in SweCog.
Cognition & Interaction Lab (COIN)
Research in the COIN Lab, led by Prof. Tom Ziemke, is focused on embodied, situated, and distributed cognition in natural and artificial cognitive systems - in particular:
- Sensorimotor interaction between cognitive agents (humans, animals, robots) and their environments,
- social interaction between people, between robots, and not least between humans and robots, and
- human interaction with different types of information technology, e.g. decision support systems or computer games.

Skövde Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL)
Our work in this area is part of the University of Skövde's Information Fusion research program (www.infofusion.se, funded by the Knowledge Foundation), in collaboration with industrial partners, such as SAAB Microwave Systems and ICA Handlarna. Contact persons: Henrik Boström and Lars Niklasson.

Interactable Games and Media Lab (InGaMe)
Research in the InGaMe Lab, led by Dr. Per Backlund, is focused on computer games and other interactable media, in particular development of gaming environments and demonstrators for entertainment based learning, i.e. so-called serious games.
