Graduate courses
SweCog normally gives 2 to 4 courses each semester. The courses cover both theoretical and methodological aspects of cognitive science. They are also open to both graduate students in other subject areas and Master’s students in Cognitive Science, but for these groups SweCog does not finance the costs for the individual participants. Most the requirements for most courses are covered for any student with an undergraduate degree in cognitive science (c.f. the admission requirements), but in some cases the requirements might be higher than that.
The form of the courses is as follows:
- The courses give 7, 5 points (according to the Swedish university system).
- The courses run for (part of) one semester.
- The courses comprise of 3 to 4 one day meetings at the host university, and individual activities between these.
- Also other forms, e.g. net based courses can be used.
- Graduate students that not belong to SweCog, as well as Master’s students in cognitive science, can take the courses, if the course is not fully booked, and if they satisfy the requirements. The costs for the participation is, however, not covered by SweCog for these participants.
