Conferences
SweCog conferences aim to provide a forum for graduate students to present and get feedback on their research from a wider group than what their respective home universities can provide, thus is not for publishing finished work. Presentations can vary in format, including oral presentations, demonstrations and posters. Through key note speakers, panels and other discussion forums the conferences also allow for learning about general theoretical and methodological aspects of cognitive science.
Another important aspect of these meetings is to give opportunities to get to know about cognitive science research at other universities, as well as having ample time for informal discussions with cognitive science researchers from all over Sweden. The conferences are planned to take place twice a year, usually in the middle of the fall and spring semester.
Please note that SweCog conferences are open only for SweCog members and that active participation is expected from all conference attendees. If attending an entire conference, all costs for participation, meals, a single room accomodation and travel to and from the conference, are covered by SweCog. For changes after last registration date, SweCog will, as a general rule, not cover any costs or assist in (re)arranging travels.
Conference spring 2012
The seventh SweCog conference will take place in Linköping 26-28 April, 2012.
The conference in spring 2012 will have a slightly different format then previous conferences, it will be held in conjunction with the Swedish Conference in Cognitive Science that is open to a broader public consisting of all researchers, graduate and master students in cognitive science. This part of the conference will take place in Linköping at Konsert & Kongress and SweCog participants will stay at hotel Ekoxen. The second part of the conference will be more of a traditional SweCog conference, only open for SweCog members, and will be located at Vårdsnäs Stiftsgård.
The conference will begin after lunch on Thursday and end with a lunch on Saturday.
